 Who should take this workshop:  Novice to advanced amateur, those who want to produce compelling and dramatic images of the land. This workshop is offered as part of Ontario's Arts in the Wild program.

Discover the techniques and compositional and design tools necessary to capture the natural world.  This is an intensive weekend workshop that opens Friday evening with a meet and greet.  Then it's up with the sun on Saturday to capture the morning light, then back to Charlton Lake Camp for another illustrated seminar followed by another excursion to capture the early evening light.  Sunday morning starts with another excursion and then back to the Camp for a final critique and wrap-up.  Participation is limited to 8.  Lecture topics will include:

- Outfitting for landscape photography.
- A quick look at different camera formats.
- Landscape optics.
- Field logistics and equipment.
- Landscape exposure and HDR imagery.
- Understanding and using the nature of light.
- Composing for dramatic landscapes.
- Preserving and capturing the spirit of the land.
